JOE'S CUP
Club Memorial Run Sunday 10th September 2006
9am.
There will be a
memorial run on Sunday 30th December to visit en route the
legendary Joe’s Cup. The run will start at 9 am from White Coppice cricket
ground and will be a nice easy pace fell run for an hour to 2 hours and
everybody is welcome.
As the name
suggests we use this as an opportunity to remember the slowly lengthening list
of those club members who are now doing sessions in the sky (joined this year
by Barry Cadman and John Ramsbottom) – so
take a break from your usual routine and find out where Joe’s Cup really is.
White Coppice - head for Chorley on
the A6 – turn right at the roundabout as you enter Chorley and left at the
next one and right at the one after that (all 3 close together).
Follow the road to
the next roundabout (1m) and bear right. Down the hill (1/2m) to the next
mini roundabout (opposite a pub) and take the unmarked right just after it.
Follow this rural road for 2m to the next pub and turn right (first sign for
White Coppice). Straight on through village on to rough track to cricket
ground.
