After scorching temperatures during the day a number of brave Phoenix runners turned up at the increasingly popular Harrock Hill Race which can only be described as a tough hilly race.

The race starts with a tough climb from Hilldale before meandering down hill back to Lancaster Lane before a tough climb up to the high moor pub before finishing not far from the farmers arms in Parbold. John Morrissey pretty much had the race wrapped up within the first 50 yards. Still seething from his defeat by Gareth Booth of Horwich the week before a repeat wouldn' be on the cards.
