Wigan Phoenix is a totally voluntary organisation whose aim is to promote and pursue athletics in Wigan and surrounding districts.We are primarily a road running and cross country club, who were formed in 1987. Our active membership is currently around 100 and we welcome any runner over the age of 11. Our membership includes juniors, seniors, vet ladies and vet men. Our youngest member is 15 and our oldest active member is 70+.

 

In our 24 year history we have had over 300 people associated with the club. Wigan Phoenix also boasts a strong women's team who between them have in the short history of the club achieved County and England vests.

 

We welcome all ages and abilities, female and male to Wigan Phoenix. All you need is just to turn up, for friendly help and advice on Running/Training our members are from all walks of life with a common interest in running and athletics. Come along and run for fun or to train, with us there is no commitment required all are welcome, whether you are training for fitness, losing weight or marathon training, road racing, fell racing, adventure racing, triathlon and quadrathlon, we have experts on hand for all disciplines.





Membership fees are due from the 1st January 2012.  No change from last year.
Senior Membership is £30.00.  Concession for Juniors/Students/Second Count/Social Membership.  Please pay the Treasurer. Cheques payable to "Wigan Phoenix".
